Mark Sirangelo leads Sierra Nevada Corporation’s Space Systems based in Louisville Colorado. SNC Space Systems designs and manufactures advanced spacecraft, space vehicles and space technologies. Recognized as one of “The World’s Top 10 Most Innovative Companies in Space,” SNC has more than 25 years of space heritage, participating in more than 450 successful space missions for Earth activities as well as for missions to the sun, moon and 7 planets. Among its many products, SNC is the owner and operator of Dream Chaser, the next generation space shuttle as well as Veggie and Advanced Plant Habits which are technologies pioneering the first fresh food growth in space. Within Colorado, Mr. Sirangelo was appointed and served voluntarily as the Chief Innovation Officer of the State of Colorado and Chair of the Colorado Innovation Network (COIN). He currently serves as the Governor’s Appointee to the Colorado Energy Research Authority. Mr. Sirangelo is also the founding and current Chairman of eSpace, the Center for Space Entrepreneurship, a nonprofit supporting STEM education and entrepreneurial technology companies. Outside Colorado, Mark is a member of the board of Governors of the Aerospace Industries Association, Chairman Emeritus of the Commercial Spaceflight Federation, and has been inducted as an Associate Fellow of the The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. He or his companies have been named to the Deloitte’s Fast Track 500, included in Inc. Magazine’s top 200 companie as well as Defense Industry’s Fast Track 50 and he has been inducted into the NASA/Space Foundation’s Technology Hall of Fame. Mark is a founding board member of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children which has resolved over 100,000 missing children cases to date. He has served his country proudly in the military and holds a Bachelor of Science, an MBA and Doctorate degrees from Seton Hall University.
